Yahoo! is currently planning to shut down the GeoCities free hosting program some time later this year. SciFiCities hopes that our free hosting plan meets your needs. Additional a web file manager can transfer files directly from GeoCities to our servers.

Instructions for Transfering Your Site From GeoCities to SciFiCities
1. Sign up for SciFiCities free web hosting.2. Download all GeoCities site files to your computer as a backup.
3. log into net2ftp.com and using your Geocities FTP login information.
4. Select all directories and files from your GeoCities site then click copy.
5. fill in Different target FTP server, Username, and Password for your SciFiCities or scifi.0lx.net site FTP login information.
6. click on the green check mark to submit.
7. AFter completed logout by click on the red power button in the right hand corner.
8. Login your SciFiCities or scifi.0lx.net cPanel.
9. Click on File manager either under Site Management or FTP Manager and make sure your site file are present and under the /htdocs directory.
10. Check out your site at its new Scificities subdomain.
11. Put a link at your old geocities site to your new location for each page and included {meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=http://yrsite.scificities.com/newpage.html" /} using <>. Also, let anyone you know that use your site its new location.
Alternatively, two of the cpanel recommend ftp programs -- SmartFTP and Core FTP LE -- do some sort of site to site transfer.
